Job Title: Qualified Accountant (Junior)

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP and relevant standards
- Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
- Prepare and file VAT returns, corporation tax, and personal tax computations
- Liaise with clients and respond to their financial and accounting queries
- Answer and manage incoming client telephone calls in a professional manner
- Assist with audits and support compliance and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with the wider team to ensure smooth delivery of services
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an accounting role within the UK or a similar financial environment
- Membership with a recognised UK professional accountancy body (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, or AAT) – essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field – preferred
- Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial legislation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Competent in using accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and MS Office, particularly Excel
- Confident in managing telephone communications with clients and colleagues
Working Conditions
- Hybrid working model: Regular meeting with other staff members
- Standard working hours: 37.5 hours/week (9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch break)
- Occasional extended hours may be required to meet deadlines (with time off in lieu where appropriate)
